8. Cancellation by the Participant
Parimukti understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise. This cancellation policy is designed to balance fairness to participants with the operational commitments required to organise international retreats and professional trainings.
8.1 Booking Deposit
The booking deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances except where a refund is required by applicable law.
8.2 Full Payment – Standard Price
Where a participant has paid the full standard programme price without receiving an early booking, promotional, or discounted rate, the participant may cancel before the commencement of the Programme.
In such cases, Parimukti will refund all amounts paid, less the applicable non-refundable booking deposit.
8.3 Discounted Bookings
Where a participant has received an early booking discount, promotional discount, scholarship pricing, or any other reduced rate, the discounted price is offered in consideration of the participant’s commitment to attend the Programme.
Accordingly, payments made for discounted bookings are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8.4 Commencement of Programme
Once a Programme has commenced, no refunds will be issued for:
- late arrival;
- voluntary withdrawal;
- missed sessions;
- early departure;
- illness occurring during the Programme;
- removal from the Programme for breach of these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
8.5 Transfer to Another Participant
A participant may transfer their booking to another individual by providing reasonable advance written notice to Parimukti.
The replacement participant must:
- satisfy all eligibility requirements;
- complete all required registration documentation;
- accept these Terms;
- complete the Medical Indemnity Form where applicable; and
- pay any outstanding balance before attending.
Parimukti reserves the right to refuse a transfer where these requirements are not met.
8.6 Transfer to a Future Programme
Subject to availability, Parimukti may permit a participant to transfer their booking to a future Programme.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- a booking may be transferred no more than two times;
- any transfer remains subject to availability;
- the original booking deposit remains non-refundable and continues to apply to the transferred booking.
Further transfer requests may be approved or declined at Parimukti’s discretion.
9. Cancellation by Parimukti
Parimukti reserves the right to postpone, modify, relocate, or cancel any Programme where reasonably necessary.
Reasons may include, but are not limited to:
- insufficient participant numbers;
- illness or incapacity of key facilitators;
- venue issues;
- government restrictions;
- safety concerns;
- Force Majeure events; or
- circumstances that would materially affect the quality or safety of the Programme.
Where Parimukti cancels a Programme for reasons within its reasonable control, participants may choose one of the following:
- transfer their booking to another available Programme;
- receive a credit towards a future Programme; or
- receive a full refund of all monies paid to Parimukti.
Refunds are limited to amounts actually paid directly to Parimukti.
Parimukti shall not be liable for consequential expenses including but not limited to:
- flights;
- visas;
- travel insurance;
- independently booked accommodation;
- transport;
- currency exchange losses;
- bank fees;
- loss of income;
- or any indirect or consequential losses.
Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
10. Programme Changes
Parimukti continually seeks to provide the highest quality experience possible.
Accordingly, Parimukti reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:
- schedules;
- daily timetables;
- facilitators;
- accommodation;
- venues;
- activities;
- meals;
- teaching order; and
- Programme content,
provided such changes do not materially alter the essential nature of the Programme.
Where significant changes become necessary, Parimukti will endeavour to notify participants as soon as reasonably practicable.
11. Accommodation
Accommodation is included only where expressly stated in the participant’s booking confirmation.
Participants booking Programme-only packages are solely responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
Participants booking accommodation through Parimukti acknowledge that:
- room allocation is subject to availability;
- shared accommodation may involve room sharing with another participant;
- reasonable room changes may become necessary for operational reasons;
- participants are responsible for damage caused intentionally or negligently to accommodation or venue property.
Accommodation providers may maintain their own house rules, which participants agree to respect.
12. Airport Transfers and Transportation
Airport transfers are included only where expressly stated in the booked package.
At present, complimentary airport transfers are included only with designated Premium packages unless otherwise specified.
For other participants, Parimukti may assist in arranging transportation upon request.
Transportation arranged through independent providers is offered solely as a convenience.
Parimukti is not responsible for the acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, accidents, or service quality of independent transport providers.
