Meditation – the greatest device to discover our true self and awaken.
This is a unique and first-of-its-kind open-face meditation teacher training program that embraces the whole umbrella of world meditations ranging from ancient and classical methods such as vipassana, whirling and zazen to modern developments and techniques like cathartic therapies, de-conditioning, hypnosis and cellular awareness. It is the most comprehensive and scientifically designed meditation training program available in India. If you are a seeker on the path, love silence, know the value of meditation and want to share it with others, then this program is for you.
The primary goal of this program is to experience and become familiar with deep states of meditation, in other words, facets of samadhi, a state of relaxed awareness where only consciousness remains and nothing ever happens. This is where we go beyond time and space and rest in a primordial reality that births everything and all. And this we will experience again and again over the course of a month through a variety of meditation techniques. We will become aware how energy functions in all its manifestations – thoughts, emotions, sensations, breath, activity, rest, dance… and we will learn how to transform grosser forms of energy such as anger, fear, sadness into more sublime forms like peace, happiness and silence. And even more important we will come to know what lies beyond energy and gives birth to it.
The second goal of this program is to impart the teaching methodology necessary to share the experience of meditation with others. In this we will focus on the nuances and subtleties of different meditation techniques, the backbone and central principles around which the whole science of meditation becomes dynamic, and the importance of empathy and unconditional love while teaching mindfulness.
At Parimukti, our approach is scientific and matter-of-fact. And just like yoga, no belief system is needed to learn and experiment with meditation… just an open mind. During this one whole month of intensive inner work our approach would be to consider our subjectivity as a laboratory for inner experimentation. And just like a scientist is open to innumerable possibilities before conducting an experiment, we too would wait and allow things to unfold as they come. And we can assure you there are many treasures to be found – relaxation, peace, happiness, compassion, humour, love, playfulness, silence – amongst them.
This program is likely to be the most intensive and transformative process you have ever experienced in your life. It is like 10 years of learning experience encapsulated into a month. And it is going to change things for you forever, empower you like never before and give you a new perspective and a deeper understanding on all facets of life. And after completion you would have come a long way in finding the answers to many fundamental questions of existence – why am i here? what is life? what is death? And all this not in theory but direct experience.
Content For “3. Teacher Training – About”
As far as it is known, human beings are the only species in the universe with a developed mind and can REFLECT and QUESTION and WONDER. With humans nature becomes awake for the first time and gazes back at itself with a question mark. And so as humans, we are destined to investigate and seek our place in the universe. And to know who we really are? And for this investigation, this search, it is not science but meditation that lights the path. Unfortunately, if due to our life circumstances or choices, we are not able to go on this journey, to go on this search… then loneliness, sadness and emptiness are the natural outcomes… And on the other hand if we are fortunate to go on this search, if we can learn and practice meditation… then peace, love, health, joy and equanimity are the natural gifts we get in return.
The fact is that all of us are searching for something, but mostly we don’t know what this ‘something’ is. if you have meditated or have a questioning mind, you know better. You at least know that it is some kind of happiness or peace or relaxation that you seek. Yes. This cannot be doubted. But the problem is that we often search in the wrong places – in money or drugs or relationships or esoteric dimensions or some or the other kind of excitement. Somehow we forget to look under our nose. We forget to look at our own selves. It is said that meditation is the highway to knowing who we really are, and it is without a doubt – simply because none other can give us the answer to this question, rather only each one of us can know it on their own authority, and in a space of aloneness, deep meditation and silence. Meditation, in fact, is the greatest device to discover our true self and awaken.
