Effective Date: 1 July 2026
This Cancellation & Transfer Policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions of Parimukti Yoga and Meditation Private Limited and applies to all retreats, Somatic Facilitator Training programmes, workshops, and online courses unless otherwise stated in writing.
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when:
- Parimukti has accepted the booking; and
- the required deposit or full payment has been received.
Until a booking has been confirmed, Parimukti reserves the right to decline any application.
2. Booking Deposit
A non-refundable booking deposit is required to reserve a place.
The applicable deposit amount will be stated on the relevant programme page or invoice.
The deposit is non-refundable because Parimukti immediately commits resources, reserves limited participant places, confirms venue capacity, and begins programme planning.
Except where required by applicable law, the deposit will not be refunded.
3. Payment of Remaining Balance
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- the remaining programme balance must be paid no later than seven (7) days before the Programme begins; or
- on arrival where Parimukti has expressly agreed to this arrangement before the Programme.
Failure to pay by the agreed due date may result in cancellation of the booking.
4. Participant Cancellation
4.1 Deposit Only
Where only the booking deposit has been paid, no refund is available.
4.2 Standard Full-Price Booking
Participants who paid the standard advertised price without receiving any promotional or early booking discount may cancel before the Programme begins.
Parimukti will refund all amounts paid less the applicable non-refundable booking deposit.
4.3 Discounted Bookings
Bookings made using:
- early booking discounts;
- promotional offers;
- scholarship pricing;
- special campaign pricing; or
- any other discounted rate,
are offered in exchange for the participant’s commitment to attend.
Accordingly, payments for discounted bookings are generally non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4.4 After the Programme Begins
No refund will be issued where a participant:
- arrives late;
- chooses to leave early;
- misses any part of the Programme;
- is unable to continue because of illness;
- withdraws voluntarily; or
- is removed for breaching the Terms & Conditions or Code of Conduct.
5. Transfer to Another Person
If a participant cannot attend, they may transfer their booking to another individual.
To complete the transfer:
- Parimukti must receive reasonable advance written notice;
- the replacement participant must satisfy all eligibility requirements;
- all required forms must be completed;
- any outstanding balance must be paid before arrival.
No administrative fee will normally be charged for an approved transfer.
6. Transfer to a Future Programme
If attendance becomes impossible, participants may request to transfer to another Parimukti Programme.
Transfers are:
- subject to availability;
- subject to Parimukti’s written approval;
- limited to two transfers per booking unless Parimukti agrees otherwise.
The original booking deposit remains attached to the transferred booking and is not refundable in cash.
If the participant transfers to a Programme with a higher published price, the participant must pay the difference.
If the new Programme has a lower published price, no refund or credit of the difference will normally be provided unless Parimukti agrees otherwise in writing.
7. Cancellation by Parimukti
If Parimukti cancels a Programme for reasons within its reasonable control, participants may choose one of the following:
- transfer to another available Programme;
- receive credit towards a future Programme; or
- receive a full refund of all monies paid directly to Parimukti.
Refunds are limited to payments actually received by Parimukti.
Parimukti is not responsible for reimbursement of:
- flights;
- visas;
- travel insurance;
- independently booked accommodation;
- transport;
- currency exchange losses;
- bank charges;
- loss of earnings; or
- other indirect or consequential expenses.
Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
8. Force Majeure
Where a Programme is affected by events beyond Parimukti’s reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, government restrictions, border closures, or similar events, Parimukti will determine the most appropriate remedy based on the circumstances.
Depending on the situation, this may include:
- rescheduling;
- transfer to another Programme;
- future credit; or
- a refund where appropriate.
9. Refund Method
Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original payment method.
Where this is not reasonably possible, Parimukti may agree on an alternative payment method.
Participants remain responsible for any currency conversion costs, banking charges, or payment provider fees imposed by third parties.
