Mindful Yoga Therapy Immersion

The attention of this module is on the therapeutical application of asana, pranayama and mediation practices. Always using yourself as the object of understanding and exploration we will learn how to explore how to define other one’s needs and choose the right approach.
You will learn how to create an individualized practice, combining asana, pranayama and meditation, introducing helpful tools such as chairs, block, and cushions if needed. Also, you will learn and experience how to heal disturbing emotions such as fear, depression, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders bringing in mindfulness and meditation practices. Entering this module requires that you have been practicing yoga for at least 2 years on a regular basis and/or you are a certified yoga teacher.
Teacher and Schedule
The main teacher of this immersion is Merel Martens who has been studying yoga for many years now and combines it with her knowledge and experience of allopathic (Western) Medicine and Ayurveda. After focusing mainly on Ashtanga Vinyasa style of asana practice she turned her focus to a more therapeutical approach to teaching, both physical and mental.

08.30 – 10.15 Therapeutical asana class
10.15 – 11.15 Breakfast
11.15 – 12.30 Adjustment for therapeutical purposes
12.30 – 14.30 Lunch break
14.30 – 15.30 Mindful meditation for the therapeutical purpose
15.30 – 15.45 Tea break
16.00 – 17.00 Meditational practice
